We all know that it is much easier to maintain our health than it is to get it back once it is lost so why not continue to build on the progress you have made for the long term.
Not only is it in our best interest to do so from a health standpoint, but also from a cost standpoint. Protect the investment you have made in your health by giving your body what it needs from time to time. This reasoning is similar to why we brush our teeth and visit our dentist on a regular basis.
Most of the time monthly adjustments are sufficient for maintaining our spinal health, but sometimes more frequent treatment may be needed. This is most common for anyone suffering from chronic/permanent conditions and for those who have work or recreational activities that place added stress on their spines.
Although we highly recommend maintenance care, it is of course a personal decision to continue with chiropractic as a lifestyle choice. We encourage you to treat your spine with care as you would your car or your teeth – with routine checkups and maintenance.
Chiropractors are concerned about the optimal function of our nervous system by removing subluxations (misalignments) that cause nerve interference and impede our body’s natural healing properties.
Benefits can include:
Maintenance care is recommended once a patient completes their symptom and/or corrective treatment plan whether they were able to attain 100% recovery (we wish this was possible for everyone) or continue with chronic and/or permanent issues (of course hopefully in a milder form).
Either way, maintenance care, also known as wellness care, is designed to reinforce the progress made, further enrich overall health and to keep our patient’s spinal health functioning at the highest level possible.
